THE HUNT FOR CASK OCTOBER
As part of the local follow-on from Cask Ale Week, BFTWNI will be advertising The Hunt For Cask October (with the help of Sir Sean) by giving FREE membership during this month valid until the end of 2026. Email admin@beerfromthewood.com with name/address/email during October and we will set up membership for the rest of 2026.
Come along and join us at our social events and help support local breweries and the hospitality trade.

Lunch and a few fine cask ales. This will take in the Wetherspoon autumn beer festival: 7-18 October. Three third-of-a-pint tasters will also be available for the price of a pint. The festival magazine, which also features articles on some of the brewers, and can be downloaded here:

THE SUNFLOWER SESSION

Saturday, 17th October
Starting at noon (ish), in the beer garden if it is a good day, or just have a seat inside. This is the type of small back street boozer that Belfast has lost by the hundreds over the years. Cask ale is £5-6 a pint, or there is a very acceptable Beamish to be had. No food until the pizza oven fires up around 4pm, but bring your own snack. A few pints here and a dander back towards the City Hall with a couple of investigative stops.

A weekend bus run for those working during the week. Now becoming a popular outing: swiftly bypassing Lidl and on to a short scenic countryside journey, lunch and some good cask ales.
